KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the fightagainst tuberculosis (TB), stlll the second most deadly infectious disease in the world.
 
KNCV is an international center of expertise for TB control that promotes effective, efficint, (innovative and sustainable tuberculosis control strategies in a national and international context. We are an organization of passionate TB professionals, including doctors, researchers, training experts, nurses and epidemioiogists. We aim to stop the spread of the worldwide epidemic of TB and to prevent the further spread of drug resitstant TB.
 
Over the past century we have built up a wealth of knowledge and expertise, initially by successfully controlling TB in the Netherlands. Since the 19705, we have also shared our knowledge and expertise.

For the Challenge TB program in Nigeria KNCV is currently recruiting to fill the following positions:
 
Position 1: Laboratory Advisor

Duty stations: Lagos, Kano, Akwa Ibom States - Nigeria.

Qualifications/Requirements:
A degree in the Medical Sciences- MBBS/MB.Bch or Laboratory Sciences (an MPH would be ab advantage) and a minimum of 5 years experience in TB and/or HIV programs
Experience as laboratory quality assurance officer or laboratory manager
Experience in working with: HIV & TB program; USAID project or any development partner
Strong coordination, planning, and supervisory skills
Competent with laboratory operational plan development, implementation and evaluation of results.
Excellent written and verbal English language skills
Self starter, tem player, dynamic, solid, open, flexible, absolute integrity, organizational awareness
Understanding of cultural differences
 
KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation Offers:
A fixed-term contract for 15 months, with the intention to extend the contract based on availability of funding
An informal work atmosphere in an international environment where initiative is appreciated
A salary dependent upon education and relevant working experience
Full-time employment consists of 40 hours per week.

Position 2: Program Officer

Duty Stations: Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Rivers, Enugu, Ondo, Osun, Bauchi, Katsina, Benue, Niger, Kano States - Nigeria.
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
A degree on Medicine (an MPH degree will be an additional advantage)
At least 4 year experience working with: HIV & TB program at various levels
Experience with USAID or UN projects or any development partner is an advantage
Strong coordination, planning, and supervisory skills
Competent with operational plan development, implementaion and evaluation of results.
Excellent written and verbal English language skills
Self starter, team player, dynamic, solid, open, flexible, absolute integrity, organizational awareness
Understanding of cultural differences.
