Position: Team Lead- Policy and Advocacy

Slot: X1

Job Description:
The Team Lead will be responsible for managing JSIs day to day advocacy and policy technical assistance activiies in collaboration with Govt of Nigeria. JSI staff based in the selected states in which the project works stakeholders and partners for federal and state govt as well as other multilateral bilateral and NGO stakeholders. The team lead report to the Director Public heath
 
Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain a workplan for the advocacy and policy team activities in collaboration with JSI Staff and partners
Work with Director to develope overall strategic direction for communication advocacy stakeholder coordination activities and lead the implementation and monitoring of same for the office in cllaborationm with home office
Work with M&E department to define indicators to measure the impact of technical assistance undertaken by the unit
Work with M&E to develope monthly quaterly and annual reports for the SCMS and USAID deliver project in the integrated office
Work closely with JSI NIgeria management on managing relationships and maintaining routine communications with GON, USAID, UNFPA, SFH, NTBLCP, TB-CAP, WHO and all othe deliver and SCMS stakeholders
Work with short term technical assistance providers to provide required TA for activities and also facilitate transfer of skills to appropriate local Staff
Work with key stakeholders to facilitate political commitment for supply chain environment
Facilitate regular stakeholder coordination for supply chain strengthening
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
An advanced clinical degree or a masters degree in Public Health, Pharmacy, Logistics, Management or business administration
5 yrs professional experience in health programs, preferably in health care supply chain management
Proven outstanding communications skill
Specific experience in MNCH, HIV, TB or EM program strongly desired
Proven experience in managing public health programs or projects in Nigeria or similar developing country context
Extensive knowledge of the Nigerian Public Health sector
Comprehensive computer skills
A proven ability to work as part of a team and be self managing
Strong analytical writing and problem solving skills
Excellent technical writing and oral presentation skills highly desired.

Position 2: Logistics Advisor- Policy and Advocacy

Slots: X1

Job Description:
The Logistics Advisor- Policy and Advocacy team will be responsible for contributing to the implementation of the JSIs day to day advocacy and policy technical assistance activities. The logistics advisor will work in collaboration with Government of Nigeria. JSI staff based in the selected states in which the project works, stakeholders and partners for federal and state governments as well as other multilateral, bilateral and NGO stakeholders. The Logistics advisor of the advocacy and policy teams will report to the advocacy and policy team lead.
 
Duties/Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of the overall strategic direction for communication advocacy, stakeholder  coordination activities and the implementation and monitoring of same
Work with M&E depatment to define indicators to measure the impact of technical assistance undertaken by the unit
Work with M&E to develop monthly quaterly and annual reports for the SCMS and USAID deliver project in the integrated office
Work closely with JSI NIgeria management on managing relationships and maintaining routine communications with GON, USAID, UNFPA, SFH, NTBLCP, TB-CAP, WHO and all othe deliver and SCMS stakeholders

Qualifications/Requirements:
An advanced clinical degree or a masters degree in Public Health, Pharmacy, Logistics, Management or business administration
1-2 yrs professional experience in health programs, preferably in health care supply chain management
Proven outstanding communications skill
Specific experience in MNCH, HIV, TB or EM program strongly desired
Proven experience in implementing public health programs or projects in Nigeria or similar developing country context
Demonstated ability to train in health service programs
Good knowledge of the Nigerian public health sector
Comprehensive computer skills
A proven ability to work as part of a team and be self managing
Strong analytical writing and problem solving skills
Excellent technical writing and oral presentation skills highly desired
Ability and willingness to travel in the field.
