Isalu Hospitals Limited situated in Lagos state -Nigeria, is currently recruiting for the following positions:

Position 1: Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

Job Type: Full Time

Job Description:
The appointee will be required to provide high standard, cost effective and modern health care delivery system that ensures safe practice in routine and emergency Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Duties/Responsibilities:
The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
Modern Obstetrical Practice both routine and in emergency situations. Operative Obstetrics.
Gynaecological Consultations including infertility assessment, sexually transmitted diseases and pelvic infections.
Family planning counselling.
Gynaecological surgery including endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures.
Pre-pregnancy counselling.
Antenatal care, intrapartum management and postnatal clinics.
Advice on current Contraceptive technology as applicable to individuals.
Community outreach programmes to include preventive techniques such as health education, nutrition in and out of pregnancy.
Management of behavioural changes that may require emergency contraception.
Management of complications of abortions and post abortion care networking
General Out Patient Consultation.
Team leader for the ward.

Qualification/Requirements:
Possess MBBS with either MRCOG, FMCOG or FWACS or their equivalents and be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
Have a minimum of 5 years post MBBS working experience, 2 of which should have been in the area of specialty as a consultant in a standard hospital.
Possess strategic and motivational leadership skills.
Maintain high professional standards, discipline and communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external parties.
Be a good team player, with ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Be Computer Literate
Not be more than 50 years old as at 30th April, 2015.

Position 2: Consultant Pediatrician

Duties/Responsibilities
The successful applicant will take on general pediatric duties and have a special interest in Neonatology.  He/she will have responsibility for inpatient children and take part in a ‘Ward Chief’ programme for acute pediatrics admissions.  He/she will also manage children as outpatients.  He/she will have outpatient sessions in new and review general pediatrics as well as specific Neonatal duties. The successful candidate will be encouraged to continue to develop the service.  On call will also include cover general pediatrics and neonatal intensive care.

Qualification/Requirements:
Possess MBBS with either entry on Senior Registrar or other relevant qualifications e.g. MD or MSc and be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
Have a minimum of 5 years post MBBS working experience, 2 of which should have been in the area of specialty as a consultant in a standard hospital.
Possess strategic and motivational leadership skills.
Maintain high professional standards, discipline and communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external parties.
Be a good team player, with ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Be Computer Literate

Position 3: Registered Nurse/Miwives

Job Description:
The Registered Nurse / Registered Midwife is a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, and uses contemporary standards and evidence to underpin practice.
The Registered Nurse / Registered Midwife assume accountability and responsibility for the care of patients / residents / clients, within a range of settings.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive, safe and effective evidence based nursing and midwifery care to achieve identified health outcomes.
Recognize and uphold the rights of all clients accessing health services and advocate on their behalf. This also includes maintaining cultural sensitivity.
Plan and evaluate nursing care in consultation with the multidisciplinary health care team and patients/residents/clients using effective interpersonal communication.
Provide high level communication skills that include: interpersonal, verbal, written, computer, and ability to work cohesively as an active member of the multidisciplinary team.
Carry out nursing practice in accordance with Legislation, Common Law and Code of Ethics; and take action to rectify unsafe nursing practice and/or unprofessional conduct.
Identify areas for clinical research and recognize its value in contributing to the delivery of nursing care.
Ensure a safe and secure environment for patients/residents/clients and visitors utilizing a contemporary quality and risk management framework.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient information systems ensuring the data is accurate and complete utilizing the documentation system that is used by the service in which you are contracted to.
Other responsibilities as delegated from time to time by the Team Leader / Nurse Manager.

Qualifications/Requirements:
RN/RM certificate
Valid practising license.
A minimum of 2 years experience
Excellent communication skills.

Position 4: Pharmacist

Duties/Responsibilities:
The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
Accept and dispense prescription medications
Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications for storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions
Provide advices on selection of Over-The-Counter medications to treat common illnesses such as flu, cold sores, or headaches
Educate patients on proper handling of medical devices such as blood pressure monitor and glucose meters
Compound medications for external or internal use
Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
Supervise pharmacy staff members including pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks, etc.
Proper management of patient records and pharmacy files
Maintain appropriate inventory on pharmaceutical and medical supplies
Identify patient’s drug-related problems and effectively communicate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners
Work in conjunction with physicians, nurses, other pharmacists, pharmacy interns, etc.
Provide specialized educational programs and health promotions to help patients manage chronic health conditions such as hypertension and diabetes.

Qualifications/Requirements:
B.Pharm
Registered with PCN.
A minimum 2 of years experience in Hospital Pharmacy.
