MEDICAL ART CENTER (2016) JOBS

Medical Art Center situated in Lagos State - Nigeria is currently recruiting to fill the following position:

Position: In vitro Fertilization (IVF) Nurse

Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for patient care at all times
Attending to patients, registration and initial vital sign testing (Weight, Height, Temperature, Blood Pressure) etc
Opening of patient file and including the necessary documentation into the file
Sending patients to the necessary department for further diagnosis and investigation
For existing patients, pull out their files and find out the next step in treatment
Ensuring all necessary blood test are carried out
Dispensation of drugs and injections
Preparation of patients for ultrasound, blood testing and the IVF procedure as and when due
Counsel and guide patients through difficult periods calmly reassuring them while constantly reassessing outcome and opinions
Ensuring all charts are properly documented by Prof and the doctors whenever there is a consultation with the patients either in person or over the phone
Re – Stocking and maintaining the clinical areas and procedure rooms
Informing the Admin Department and filling out requisition forms when its time to re – order
Assist CMD and clinical team during procedures
Making phone calls to patients that have not showed up for appointments on  a daily basis
Coordinating donors
Ensure patient information confidentiality at all times
Ensure CMD is briefed on patient schedules
Put in place monthly calendar review (error-free)
Be abreast with all clinical procedures and protocol
Assist the clinical coordinator at all times.

Qualifications/Requirements:
A registered Nurse
Professional qualification is an added advantage
Minimum of 4 years nursing experience
Technical, Managerial & Behavioural skill.
Excellent listening skills
Ability to communicate effectively with patients
Empathy and understanding with patients
Sensitivity is an admirable trait
Confidentiality
People Management Skills
Organisational and planning skills.
