Position 11: Nurses:

Candidate must possess the following:
A registered Nurse (NRN) and a certified midwife (Midwifery Council)
One or two years experience in out-patient department of a hospital or health center.
Must be under 45 years of age.

Qualifications/Requirements:
(A)     Professor/Reader

Applicant must possess the following:

Basic degree in Nursing from reputable University, registrable with
Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

A Ph.D. degree in a related field (Professional Health Psychology,
Clinical Psychology, Public Health/ Epidemiology). Ph.D. degree in
Nursing will be an advantage
At least 9 years of teaching experience in University for the
position of Reader, and at least 12 years for the position of
Professor
Outstanding research capability and demonstrate ability to
Supervise research projects.

(B)     Senior Lecturer:
Applicants must possess the following:
Basic degree in Nursing from reputable University, registrable with
Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
Ph.D. Degree in related field (Professional Health Psychology,
Clinical Psychology, Public Health/ Epidemiology). Ph.D. degree in
Nursing will be an advantage.
Adequate professional competence.
University Teaching and research experience of not less than six years.
Demonstrate ability to supervise research projects.

Salary Package/Retirement/Pension/Welfare Schemes:
Salary and allowances which are personal and negotiable are higher than Federal Government consolidated unitary salary structure. Salary increment is based on productivity and contribution to the development of the University.

The University operates a contributory Pension Fund as enacted by the Act of the National Assembly. It is mandatory for all tenure staff to take part in the contributory pension scheme.

The University shall pay 7½ percent of the staff monthly basic salary to the pension fund while the staff shall pay 7½ percent towards the fund.  The University has also put in place insurance scheme for all staff. A staff shall not be hindered by the University from drawing from the pension and insurance schemes in respective of the service status in the University.

In addition, the University offers highly subsidized accommodation facilities for staff on the campus with adequate water and electricity supply, sports and recreational facilities in a quiet and serene environment.

Must be computer literate and capable of using modern teaching and research facilities including electronic interactive boards, intra-communication platforms and online libraries.
