SOKOTO STATE UNIVERSITY (SEPTEMBER) JOBS

Sokoto State University is a new conventional degree awarding institution whose motto "It all begins here! depicts the historic leadership  of its locate in the promotion and deepering of knowledge and scholarship.
 
Therefore, the vision of the University is to become a world-class Institution that produces globally competitve graduates who can advance economic development and who are prepared to meet the challenges of the contemporary realities.
 
It is in this regard that the University wishes to recruit in the following positions:
 

Position 1: Nursing Officers
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
Nursing Officer
Applicants must hold a good Bachelors degree in Nursing Science for a recognized University or its equivalent

Position 2: Medical Officers
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
Applicants must hold a degree in MBBS with a minimum of 2 years experience in Medical Practice at a recognized institution; s/he must be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)

Position 3: Laboratory Technicians
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
An applicant must have at least five O. Level Credit pass (WAEC/GCE/. NABTEB) including English Language and Mathematics and also completed the prescribed three years training programme at the School of Health Technology and obtained the registration plus Associate Membership of the Institution of Medical Laboratory Technologist of Nigeria.

Position 4: Higher Pharmacy Technicians
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
An applicant must posses five O, level credit pass (WAEC/GCE/NABTEB) Including English Language and Mathematics and also completed the prescribed three year training programme at the School of Health Technology and obtained the registration from the relevant professional body plus at least six years working experience.

Position 5: Counseling Psychologist
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
Applicants must have a Masters Degree and a good Bachelor's Degree in Guidance and Counseling. S/he must be over 30 years of age and must have served satisfactory as a Counselor a School setting for at least 3 years. S/he must also be a good conduct.

Position 6: Medical Record Officers
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
Applicant must possess a HND/B.Sc degree in Medical Records from any recognized University or its equivalent.

Salary/Conditions of Service:
The salaries and conditions of service are as applicable to the post appointed for in Nigerian Universities as approved by Sokoto State Government and the Governing Council of the University from time to time.
