Sami Khedira could surely have dreamt of a better start to life as a Juventus player. The German World Cup winner joined Juventus this summer on a Bosman after his contract with Real Madrid ended.
The 28 year old midfielder, who has had a tough time with injuries in recent times, yet again injured his thigh in the 25th minute against Olympique Marseille at the Stade Velodrome and had to be replaced by Stefano Sturaro.
The club’s medical staff appeared greatly concerned by the condition of the German international, who slumped to the ground clutching his hamstring.

It’s a shame for Khedira, who unfortunately had been inactive for a while and therefore paid for it with an injury. He was doing well, so we have lost an important player,” head coach Massimiliano Allegri said after the match.
Khedira certainly won’t be there for the Supercoppa,” he added.
It is the second time the midfielder has been hit by a muscle injury since arriving from Real Madrid in June.
Khedira’s injury scare will be a major concern, with the start of the Serie A season just three weeks away and the Turin side due to travel to China next week to face Lazio in the Supercoppa.
