Obese nurse sheds off massive fats on HWN HIGHLIGHT
An obese nurse who felt 'hypocritical' telling patients how to live healthily is slipping into size eight hospital scrubs after shedding half her body weight in one year.
Katie Burgauer, from St Petersburg, Florida, struggled with weight her whole life before ballooning to a size 24, tipping the scales at 20st.
After starting work at a hospital Miss Burgauer realised she needed to make a change and underwent weight loss surgery to help her control her diet.
Now, after swapping morning snacks for a balanced breakfast and working hard at the gym, the nurse is showing off her slimmer figure and said she has never felt more 'confident'.
