It was gathered from an inside source in Abuja that the ECO (heart) and PCMA (respiratory) tests which are compulsory for countries participating in this year’s FIFA U-17 World Cup tournament in Chile were conducted over the weekend at the National Hospital in Abuja.
I can tell you that there’s no cause for alarm as all the Golden Eaglets players have met the conditions laid down by FIFA. The heart and respiratory organism of the 35 players in camp are in good condition; that is the good news I would like to share with you.
It’s cheery news for entire team as we can now continue with our final preparation for the cadet World Cup in Chile. The team has also intensified its training programme, as the coaches now drill the players twice daily. The essence of the practice sessions is to get the best, as its only 21 players that will be selected; before the team embarks on a journey to begin their defence of the trophy they won two years ago in the United Arab Emirate (UAE) ”, the source revealed.
