The Presidency has said that it is giving urgent medical attention to the 21 Chibok girls who regained their freedom from Boko Haram’s grip on Thursday.
To this end, a group of medical experts are currently attending to the girls in Abuja.
In a tweet, Mr. Laolu Akande, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s spokesman, said that “FG is now gathering medical and other support and care in Abuja for the just released 21 Chibok girls.”

Akande told newsmen on phone that Presidency’s priority was to ensure an improved health status of the girls first having stayed for more than 2 years in Boko Haram dungeon.
Government wants to make sure that the girls get the best medical attention now.

It will be recalled that the released 21 girls were among the 219 abducted school girls from Chibok community, Borno State on April 14,2014 by the dreaded Boko Haram sect.
