INTERNATIONAL NGO JOBS

Our client, a reputable international NGO is currently recruiting to fill the following position:
 
Position: Medical Advisor
 
Duties/Responsibilities:
Participate in the preparation of annual plan of action and budget of TB and Leprosy Control Programme
Participate in the formulation of policies, regulation and technical guidelines related to TB and Leprosy Control Programme
Provide technical support to Leprosy, TB and related NTO'S Control Programme
Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of TB/Leprosy and related NTO's activities/Programme
Participate in operational research, related to TBl/Leprosy and related NTD's Control
Appraise proposals submitted by assisted hospitals and others related to medical services for funding
Participate in the organization of training at the central level and support training carried out at sub- national level
Participate in preparation of quarterly and annual progress reports
Perform other related tasks to be assigned by the Medical Coordinator
 
Qualificatioons/Requirements:
University Degree in Medicine
Postgraduate Degree in Public Health or equivalent
5 years of practical experience in planning, implementing. monitoring and evaluating disease prevention and control activities
Excellent knowledge of the strategies for prevention and control of tuberculosis, leprosy or communicable diseases and related NTD's
Proven competence in modem training skills and/or ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship
Good knowledge of strategies for prevention, treatment and care of HI VI AIDS
 
Additional skills/Experience:
Good knowledge and ability, to use computer software for word processing, spread sheets and basic epidemiological/statistical analysis
Demonstrated abilities forteamwork
Experience in working with bilateral or multilateral organizations in the country.
 
Remarks:
The post requires extensive travelling for field - work
