Position 1: Lead facilitators for PMTCT/EID update Training Consultant
Location: Abuja, Nigeria.
Reports To: Senior Technical Advisor
Summary:
In a bid to improve the delivery of qualitative PMTCT/EID services across project states, MSH will conduct a PMTCT /EID Update training targeting specific Health care workers(HCW,s) based on our training needs assessment. HCW,s from PMTCT sites for transition at the 31st of March to SMoH will also be prioritized selection within this training. For a smooth conduct of the training, 3 lead facilitators who will co-facilitate alongside MSH technical leads in respective project states will be engaged. These facilitators who will be drawn from independent project and program consultants, collaborating stakeholders including institutions of higher learning are to support training of health care workers in projects states. To ensure program sustainability, members of the state Center for Health Professional Continuing Education (CHPCE) Program will . The training will have amplification effect, as trainees will receive technical support from MSH, to conduct stepdown training in their respective facilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Facilitator will conduct in a 5-day training alongside MSH technical leads on PMTCT/EID.
He/she will review and adapt existing PMTCT/EID training curriculum /slides in line with current treatment guidelines
In the course of training, the facilitator will lead and facilitate group work sessions as detailed in the training slides including ensuring the objectives of the plenary sessions are met.
H/she will be responsible for documenting and compiling the action plans arrived at after plenary group work sessions.
He/she will collate, analyze, and report the daily training evaluation as part of the effort to improve training quality.
He/she will be expected to conduct and analyze the pre and post test result in an excel sheet provided by MSH.
At the end of the engagement, the facilitator will write a comprehensive training report to be submitted to MSH leadership
Deliverables:
Ensure a seamless conduct of training using adult learning principles
Compile and present post training follow up action plans as agreed during plenary sessions
Present a comprehensive training report to MSH leadership within 7 days of training completion.
Facilitators role:
S/he will be responsible for conveying herself/himself to the venue of the training
S/he is expected to arrive 2 days prior to the training for a pre-training meeting with MSH technical leads.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum of Post graduate degree in Medicine/Public health and/or fellowship in relevant Postgraduate College.
The Consultant will be a highly skilled clinician with at least 5 years of clinical work experience in a PMTCT treatment centre
S/he will have thorough knowledge of PMTCT treatment including current Knowledge in the field of HIV programming.
S/he will be a seasoned and National PMTCT IMAI/IMPAC trainer
Registered with the relevant professional bodies (Nigeria Medical and Dental Council).
Position 2: Lead facilitators for Paediatric ART Training Consultant
Location: Abuja, Nigeria.
Summary:
In a bid to improve service delivery to PLHIV specifically children across project states in supported facilities, MSH will conduct a comprehensive Pediatric HIV/AIDs training with focus on anti-retroviral therapy update. For a smooth conduct of the training, 3 lead facilitators who will co-facilitate alongside MSH technical leads in respective project states will be engaged. These facilitators who will be drawn from independent project and program consultants, collaborating stakeholders including institutions of higher learning are to support training of health care workers in projects states. The 5-day training will draw participants from supported facilities. The training will have amplification effect, as trainees will receive technical support from MSH, to conduct stepdown training in their respective facilities. It is expected that at the end of the stepdown, the quality of Pediatric HIV services will be improved on and integrated into existing hospital services as a pool of HCWs would have had their capacities built, to provide HIV interventions to patients.

Position 3: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Location: Gusau in Zamfara State - Nigeria.
Summary:
The success of the PRO-ACT project depends largely on accurate, complete and timely reporting of achievements to PEPFAR/USAID. Achievement of set targets is of utmost importance. Hence, the objective of the M&E Officer position is to provide technical leadership in the roll-out of LMS-ACT M&E plan in the states integrating it with other health systems and generating strategic data for program management, reporting and documentation of best practices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide technical input in the development of an integrated State PRO-ACT project plan in collaboration with the Directors, Advisors and State Teams.
Take lead in the implementation of PRO-ACT state M&E plan and reporting formats for PEPFAR indicators and targets in collaboration with the State Team, Advisors and Directors
Establish system for flow of information from service-delivery points to the PRO-ACT central data base and ensure timely M&E technical support to all implementing health facilities.
Take lead in building the capacity of health units’ M&E staff and relevant health and community workers in collection, summarization, analysis and presentation of M&E data.
Manage the roll-out of the project M&E data quality assurance system including quarterly data quality audits.
Assist the STL to coordinate the establishment/strengthening of one state M&E system that informs policy and practice.
Ensure state-of-the art database management practice at the state.
Analyze M&E data on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and flag action areas to the project management.
Work with LMS-ACT management to document and publish best practices.
Supervision: Works independently and reports to the State Team Leader.
Decision Making: Working within project strategy and policy guidelines, makes decisions with regards to work responsibilities and is accountable for them.
Responsibility over data or information: Has access to information within project, and is responsible for program data generation and management.
Responsibility over assets: Overall responsibility assigned assets in the program.
Responsibility over Staff: None
Management Responsibility:
Spearheading the roll-out of PRO-ACT M&E plan in line with PEPFAR and national reporting requirements
Member of the State Project Management Team that is responsible for overall project performance.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Postgraduate degree in Statistics, Epidemiology or related field with focus on monitoring and evaluation and/or Biostatistics.
At least 2 years hand-on-experience in monitoring and evaluation with very good analytical, presentation, communication and reporting skills.
Significant experience in developing monitoring plans and/or management information systems 2 years of which spent working with NGOs in an African setting.
Excellent inter-personal, multi-cultural and team building skills.
Strong computer skills particularly in spreadsheets, database and statistical applications.
Significant experience working in HIV/AIDS programs in Nigeria.
Familiarity with PEPFAR reporting systems highly desirable, particularly for HIV Counseling and Testing, prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission, ART, palliative care, and OVC desirable
Excellent writing skills, oral and written communication skills and fluency in English.
Position 4: Project Officer Capacity Building
Location: Abuja, Nigeria.
Summary:
The position holder will work with the community capacity building advisor to support the smooth overall functioning and implementation of ProACT Capacity Development objective. The Program Officer Capacity Building will carry out activities in a prioritized manner, depending on the schedule of CSOs, Networks and community structures training events, the certification program, ongoing database updates, and requirements of the grant partners strengthening program. The PO/CB will participate fully as a member of the HSS team and contributes to its evolving strategy. The PO/CBO is expected to have a keen interest in the field of capacity development, documentation and reporting.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide Support in facilitating organizational capacity assessments and develop institutional strengthening plans
Assist in periodically reviewing overall CSOs capacity building progress, particularly regarding communication, documentation and supporting share point;
Assist in drafting unit regular narrative progress reports;
Leading role to support unit in completing timely meeting minutes and following up on agreed actions;
Follow up on the implementation of all activities in the work plan in coordination with other units;
Participate in program planning and implementation, contributing to work plans
Organize and facilitate trainings, workshops and networking events
Other duties as requested
Qualifications/Requirements:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience in international organization and USAID funded Project.
Excellent computer skills which must include high proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs.
Demonstrable capacity to network and negotiate with key stakeholders across different
sectors in support of health or HIV/AIDS programs.
Good writing skills and communications skills.
