National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI), a Parastatal under the aegis of the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria is currently recruiting to fill the following position:

Position: Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer
 
Description:
The Institute has national mandate for research into all aspects of animal diseases, their treatment and control, and the development and production of animal vaccines and sera.

Duties/Responsibilities::
The Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer is the Research and Administrative head of the Institute and therefore, responsible for the research and administrative management and leadership of the institute.
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
Candidates must be holder of PhD in relevant disciplines, has extensive research experience as evidenced by scientific publications with a minimum of ten(10) years cognate experience  in a Research Institute, College or related organisation. In addition candidates must have ability to provide research/administrative leadership and also have clear and articulated vision for the development of the institute.
 
Terms of Appointment:
A single term of Five (5)years only.
 
Salary:
Political Officer Holder's Salary Scale.
