Seven people were taken to the hospital Friday after a man went on a stabbing rampage at a mental health facility outside of Pittsburgh, according to local reports.
When police arrived at the Turtle Creek Valley Mental Health Facility, they saw a man, later identified as Dustin Johnson, 38, holding a knife and a handgun, KDKA-TV reported. Authorities later discovered that the gun was a BB gun.
Police said Johnson was shot and subdued, according to the station.
CJ Fulton, who works at the facility, told WTAE-TV, that the man told her and others in the office that he was upset with the treatment he received at the facility.
He was angry from something that happened when he was staying there with us, when he was a patient, and he started saying, 'You ruined my life,' and he proceeded to stab individuals and assault individuals inside the office and other staff members on the unit, Fulton told WTAE-TV.
A lockdown at a nearby elementary school was lifted, and police said Johnson is expected to undergo surgery, WTAE-TV reported.
