FMCO Chief Accountant Wife Kidnapped on HWN TERROR

The latest kidnap victim is the wife of the Chief Accountant of the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri, FMCO, Mrs. Ngozi Iroegbu.

Sources say she was kidnapped from the family’s residence at the Redemption Housing Estate, off Port Harcourt Road, Owerri.

It was also gathered that the hoodlums forced the woman into their waiting car and sped away to an unknown destination, while no contact had been made with the grieving family at press time.

Meanwhile, the striking labour unions in FMCO, have expressed shock at the way the Federal Ministry of Health was allegedly taking sides with a chief executive officer, whose record of financial recklessness is marginally heartbreaking.

The House Unions, who made the allegation in a press statement to refute all the issues raised by the Ministry, also said that they handed over photocopies of evidence of the Medical Director’s financial illegalities.

Currently, the Association of Resident Doctors, ARD, the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, NANNM, the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, MHWUN and the Nigeria Union of Allied Health Professionals, NUAHP, have been on strike for over one month, to press home issues that affect the collective harmony of the citizenry.
