The management of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Oyo State has written off the medical bills of the mother and a set of quintuplets delivered in the hospital.

The father of the quintuplets, AbdulRasaq Yusuf, who disclosed this on Tuesday in Ibadan in an interview with newsmen during the naming ceremony of the children at the hospital, expressed appreciation to the management of the hospital for the gesture.

He appealed to pharmaceutical companies to assist his family with the drugs needed by his wife and the babies.

He said the family spent between N18,000 and N25,000 daily on drugs and tests prescribed for the babies and their mother.

He solicited the support of the wife of the governor, Florence Ajimobi, and other public-spirited individuals to provide assistance for the family.

The babies were named Amod, Mohammed, Mahamud, Amudate and Amudalat.

They were delivered by caesarian section on  February 15 by a combined team of specialist doctors at the UCH.

Before the arrival of the babies, Yusuf had two children aged five and two years.
