A Lagos based native doctor Mr. Ogunleye Adebowale has dragged his wife Mrs. Sumbo Adebowale to the Bolade-Oshodi Customary court over alleged infidelity.

The case between Mr. Ogunleye and his wife took place on June 18, 2015 at the customary court. The herbalist said he was seeking divorce because of his wife’s waywardness.

Apart from being wayward, he said the woman was too troublesome. The wife, 33-year-old Sumbo Ogunleye, a businesswoman, said she lives on Aduke Thomas Street, Mafoluku, Lagos. She also said she has a one-year-old child for the man named Enitan.

The woman told the court that they have been married since March 2013. Sumbo told the court that she met her husband through her sister whom she was living with then and the man promised to take good care of her, but he did fulfill his promise.

She said further that the man is not responsible, he doesn’t care about her at all, he did not even know how she gave birth to their son because the man neglected her in the hospital and did not pay the hospital bill.

He did not take responsibility of the child. She explained further her husband owed several bills at home and refused to pay, and their landlady was always disturbing her about the bills.

The judge asked the woman if she was also ready to divorce the man, but she said no since he was the father of her child But her husband insisted he wanted a divorce and was ready to take up the responsibility of the child.

He said he would be paying N5000 monthly for the upkeep of the child. The judge told both of them to bring their parents or any member of their family and the case was adjourned till July 7, 2015.
