Michael Buble And Luisana Lopilato Son Diagnosed With Liver Cancer on HWN ENTERTAINMENT

According to Buenos Aires magazine GENTE, doctors in Los Angeles have confirmed singer Michael Bublé and actress Luisana Lopilato's son has received a liver biopsy.

The results revealed the couple's worst fear: Noah will need chemotherapy to treat cancer.

The treatment will be administered in the United States and will last four months.

Through the devastation, Luisana's older sister Daniela shared: "If God wanted it to be discovered that way, it's because he wants to save Noah. Cancer is a horrible illness but we have faith in Noah being able to overcome this.

We know he will. The time to start a long and very difficult treatment has come but it's got to be done. They say children are normally strong to put up with chemotherapy and my nephew is a warrior.

When Noah first began to show signs of illness, he had a high fever and doctors feared he had the mumps or a throat infection.

Bublé and Lopilato released a statement last week to confirm Noah's diagnosis after Gente reported: "She took her son to the Otamendi Miroli Hospital in Buenos Aires because he had a high fever.

After an exhaustive examination, they ruled out mumps and suggested two possibilities, a throat infection or mononucleosis.

To rule out the second possibility they had to carry out a battery of tests which included an abdominal ultrasound. On October 27, after a throat swab, they confirmed he had a throat infection and not mononucleosis but the ultrasound had detected a liver problem.

The doctors told Luisana, 'He has a stain on his liver, but it's not got different tones and therefore it's probably benign but we have to continue the tests.

Bublé, who was working in London, suggested his wife to get a second opinion in LA, so she few to the States with her parents, Noah and the couple's 9-month-old son Elias.

Daniela said: "It was there they discovered something wasn't right. We have very good specialists but for personal and family reasons, Michael and my sister decided to fly to the States.

The cancer was confirmed November first and talks of surgery to remove the tumor, with a 90 percent success rate, began.

On Bublé's Facebook account, he and Lopilato wrote of their devastation but said: "We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children. Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well.

They asked for prayers and added they have quite the journey ahead, but they "hope that with the support of family, friends, and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing.

Luisana said Noah remains innocent and "doesn't understand too much what is happening," though the overwhelming waves of support are helping the family see things with optimism and we have a lot of faith.
