NANNM chapter of Federal Medical Centre Yenagoa commences indefinite strike on HWN STRIKE
Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), Federal Medical Centre Yenagoa, Chapter have commenced an indefinite strike today the 4th of May, 2017.
It should be noted that medical doctors are not among the striking health workers because they have received all their salary in full.
It should also be noted that JOHESU are not part of the strike but may commence strike after the outcome of the meeting with management of FMC yenagoa which commenced 10:00am this morning.
The ongoing strike is as a result of non payment of 2 months half salary in 2016, non payment of March cum April 2017 salary as well as several other benefits that are still in the limbo.
The striking Nurses have stated categorically that they will not return to work not until all payments/salaries is made in full.
