Woman embarrassed her illiterate groom on HWN MARR

A woman embarrassed her illiterate groom in India by abandoning him at the altar because he could not count to 9.

The woman, Khushboo Saxena was set to get married to Omveer Singh of Saraia but didn’t after one of the bride’s friends told Saxena that the groom was unable to recite the wedding vows correctly.

Saxena then decided to orally test her groom with some math questions.

Her parents tried to stop her, but she refused saying she could not get married to an illiterate person. Singh was asked to count some coins, but he could not go beyond nine.

The bride then handed him her mobile phone and he was unable to dial her number. So Saxena concluded that he was mentally unfit to be her husband so she canceled the wedding against the wishes of her family and friends.

The groom however, did not stay single for long as he got married two days later to another woman, who has no problems about his illiteracy.
