As we participate in the 2015 Rotary International Convention June 6-9, we expect a great deal of discussion about the tremendous strides being made in the fight against polio. According to the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, the world has recorded just 25 cases of polio so far in 2015 – none in Nigeria.

It was just one year ago that Sir Emeka Offor announced the second of his two $1 million contributions to the Rotary’s PolioPlus program. That $2 million was matched two-to-one with an additional $4 million from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
