Super Eagles assistant coach, Jean Francois Loscuito, may not be on the bench when the side take on Egypt in their 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Egypt, due to ill health.
The Belgian went under the knife early this year in Pretoria, South Africa after he ingested a small metal object during a meal.
He recovered in time to join the home-based Super Eagles ahead of their participation at the African Nations Championship in Rwanda.
A reliable source close to the former ASFA Yenanga of Burkina Faso coach said that he has suffered a relapse from stomach problem.
Mr Loscuito is in Togo at the moment. The problem with his stomach is back and he is afraid of going to the hospital there to seek medical attention because he does not believe they are competent enough to help him solve the problem.
At the moment he is taking drugs to remedy the situation which to him is better than going to a hospital there.
He also has a plan of going to Belgium to seek medical help, but he is hampered by lack of funds.
Loscuito was in temporary charge of the home-based Super Eagles in Abuja during their preparation for CHAN when head coach of the side, Sunday Oliseh was recovering from a viral infection in his base in Belgium.
