Former governor of Adamawa state, James Bala Ngilari, was recently rushed to the hospital by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for medical treatment.
Ngilari was rushed to the Federal Teaching Hospital in Gombe for medical treatment after he complained of ill health.
The event, which took place on Friday, June 17, was as a result of an increase in the ex-governors blood pressure.
Ngilari had complained after he was grilled for several hours at the office of the anti-graft agency, according to Daily trust.
A source at the hospital confirmed the incident and said he was taken to the emergency ward where he was attended to by two medical personnel.
An EFCC source validated the report, stating that Mr. Ngilari had been complaining of health challenges especially his high blood pressure and pile.
He claimed that Ngilari could barely sit for a long time without complaining of pain.
The former governor of Adamawa was apprehended following a report from a former Nigerian ambassador to the US, Hassan Adamu, which indicted him.
